Airport Transportation
Most conference participants will arrive to the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU). The conference hotel is less than 2 km from the airport. Participants may get there by bus, taxi or car rental.
Taxi
The fastest and easiest way to get from the airport to the conference hotel is by taxi. The cost of a taxi drive from the airport to the Embassy Suites Hotel or any other hotel in the area is US$10 according to the most recent data from the Puerto Rico Office of Tourism. At the airport, taxis can be found in the lower level at the exit baggage claim area. Before taking a taxi be sure to get a quote with the correct price from the Office of Tourism person at the Airport.
Bus
A more economical but less reliable way of getting to the hotel is by bus. The bus stop is on the upper level (departure) of the airport. Buses B40 and C45 from the Autoridad Metropolitana de Autobuses (AMA) can take you from the airport to a few blocks from the Embassy Suites hotel. The buses travel daily from 4:30 until 22:00. According to the AMA timelines, buses are scheduled to run every 20 minutes on weekdays, every 30 minutes on Saturdays and nights, and every 60 minutes on Sundays and Holidays. However, delays and cancellations are very frequent. The fare is US$0.75 and exact change (coins) is needed to get into the bus. Be sure to tell the bus driver where you want to go. The stop closer to the Embassy Suites is near Club Gallístico de Puerto Rico and Metropol Restaurant. The hotel is 2.5 blocks from there. Car Rental
Participants interested in renting a car at the airport will be able to choose between many companies. Reservations can be made through travel websites using the airport code SJU. See the map below for driving directions from the airport to the hotel.
